Make your own window treatments, sounds a bit daunting, right? But with the Window Bonnets no sew cornice kits it is as simple as
1. Assemble, 2. Decorate and 3. Hang.
Making these window treatments takes very few tools and no specialized skills. You will use a low temperature glue gun to glue the cornice pieces together for the length necessary for your window.
Next you will cut the material strips that will be tucked into the precut grooves of the cornice form. This is the fun part. Use your imagination. Add cords, beads, feathers, leather accents, whatever strikes your fancy and fits in with the room decor.
Now you have only to mount the brackets in the wall. For the most part the small valances that come with blinds, verticals and shades do not have to be removed before hanging your new cornice. The cornice sits 3”-5” from the wall to give an extra dimension to your windows and walls. Once installed the brackets fit snugly into the back tuck groove of your cornice.
