Window Bonnets sells a state of the art, light weight, do-it-yourself window cornice boards in a kit form. This is a professional full return cornice board.   No sewing or stapling is required to decorate the cornice.  The cornice boards are constructed prior to application of fabric using a low temperature glue gun.  They are, truly, the only solution for corners and bay window treatments. Our kits transform any room with your unique window treatments.

Manufactured from expanded polystyrene (EPS), it is a durable, stable, flame
retardant product and creates an incredibly strong bond when glued.  Additionally, it
is ultra light weight and much easier to
hang than wood cornices.  Our kits provide the best solution for all windows, office, kitchen, sliders, bedroom window treatments and those hard to work with bay window treatments. Use your imagination to come up with your own window treatments ideas.

Each kit comes with window treatment instructions and how to video, brackets for the valance, screws and anchors for hanging the cornice. The 32” Extension kits provide the ability to make cornices of any width. My corner piece, featured on the home page, is 17 feet wide. However, we know of a 50 foot cornice that has also been constructed.

Window Bonnets valance styles come in three heights, 9”, 12” and 15”. this variety provides the desired balance in rooms with high ceilings, low ceilings, small spaces and even RVs! Choose the height according to your personal preferences. To determine the correct width, measure the window opening and then add 1”-4” to the measurement. This will ensure the cornice returns hit the wall and balance the cornice to the window opening.  If blinds or curtains are to remain, measure their rod and add 1”-4” so the cornice returns go beyond the rod.
