Assembly instructions
A LOW TEMPERATURE glue gun is necessary for construction. We sell this on the web site as well. If you have one at home, be sure it is LOW TEMP and that it is a full size gun not the mini-glue gun. The glue reservoir on the mini-gun is too small for what is needed to just glue the 9” cornice much less the 12” and 15” ones and makes the reality of your ideas for interesting window treatments much easier.
- Measure the width of your window including blinds and existing window treatments and add 1”-2” to the measurement. There is no right way or wrong way, your personal preference is your best guide.
Example: The window measures 42”, add 2” for a final measurement of 44”. The Kit covers a 48” window so you will need to cut 4” off of one of the 16” extension pieces.
- Measure and mark the back of one of the extensions where the cut is to be made.
- Using a utility knife, electric knife, hack saw or other similar knife and leaving your straight edge in place, cut along the edge in a slow up and down motion.

- Align the 2 pieces before applying glue so you are sure they fit well. Apply glue to the end of one of the sections to be joined. Then join sections, move the two pieces back and forth to spread the glue. Then align the front grooves and hold the sections securely in place. Repeat this process until the entire no sew cornice kit is assembled. This also applies to corner and bay window treatments.
NOTE: Work quickly as the glue sets up fast.
