To determine the correct cornice width, measure the window opening and add 1”-4” to the measurement. If blinds or curtains are to remain, measure their rod and add 1”-4”. Be sure you have a low temp full size glue gun. Check ours below.
The 9” valance styles or cornice boards are perfect for kitchen window treatments where the cabinets are close and the ceiling low. They also go well as bedroom window treatments for kids rooms, bathrooms, the spa room and any other location where the ceiling is low or the window is on a relatively short wall.
The brackets for the valance come standard as a 5” drop from the wall. However, we realize that in some cases with the 9” valance style that a 3” drop looks better.
